Every now and then I like Roving the internet to find a fresh batch of Expat Blogs. As I recently came across a great cross-section of Expat Blogs that will inspire you to get itchy-feet of your own. Brits and Britain feature heavily of course – but there’s a couple of surprising destinations in this mix.
So explore, and enjoy for yourself:
Caroline is a British expat wife and mum. In March 2014 she relocated to Austin, Texas, USA. She started her blog in March 2014 when her family relocated from West Sussex, England.
Over the past eighteen years she has graduated with a BA Hons degree in Media, enjoyed a career in marketing, got married and her focus is now raising her two young children in a new country.
Emma expat blog is a mix of personal lifestyle and travel blog. She shares her adventures as a long term expat, living in one of her favourite cities in the world. Though you probably won’t tell from her developing English accent, she originate from New Zealand. As a nation, they are known as ‘Kiwis’; not necessarily the small furry brown fruit, but named after a small flightless bird who lives in New Zealand’s forests.
Join Emma on her journey as she tries to comprehend the wild and wonderful English way of life. She married an Englishman and is slowing getting acclimated to the good old British way of doing things.
Anna, is a writer living a nomadic lifestyle with her husband. After living in London for most of her 30 years she met a Kiwi who swept her off my feet and out of a cushy job and into the unknown.
They packed in our jobs to go on an adventure, and traveled for a while in New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand before moving to France, which is where she lived for a year on a diet of baguettes and wine, and got married. Right now they’re back in London but will be setting off soon on more adventures.
Cory and Sara both grew up in Iowa, USA. In July 2013 they moved to Dublin, Ireland for new opportunities. They began their blog in April 2013 as a way to keep in touch and exchange stories with friends and family around the world
Sara was offered a job opportunity that was just too good to turn down, so they headed off to Ireland to start a new life together. They didn’t choose Ireland .. it chose them.
Kaelene, Kiki to her friends, is the voice behind Unlocking Kiki. She’s a twenty-something Oregon native, currently living the expat life in Reykjavík, Iceland.
How did Kiki end up in Iceland? Well she met an Icelandic guy in Australia, and three years laters she moved to Iceland to be with him. She’s a girl after my own heart, and loves exploring places a little off the beaten path.
