The Globetrotting Girls, Dani and Jess, are a German-American couple who host the GlobetrotterGirls travel blog, and share house sitting tips and information at The Ultimate House Sitting Guide webiste, which is the promotional site for their Ultimate Guide to House Sitting e-book.
Dani and Jess have been on the road since May 2010, and their house sitting adventures were ignited when they read the “Make yourself at Home House Sitting” article in the Guardian Travel section, and they’ve lived a nomadic lifestyle ever since.
In 2013 they wrote and published Break Free: The Ultimate Guide to Housesitting, which includes tips and reference check-lists; a summary of over 20 house sitting websites; and a collection of narratives about their own personal experiences as global house sitters.
Break Free is aimed at both house sitters and home owners, to
“create a domino effect of positive housesitting experiences that will help the movement emerge into the mainstream in 2013 as a unique, authentic way to travel the world.”
