Day Fifty-Seven of Sketching People

Continuing with day 57 of my #Kick365 sketching challenge to draw people in ink and watercolour, more speed sketching this time with Pencils4tea. Part one of this post is here.

Speed Sketching with Pencils4Tea

Speed sketching session tonight hosted by Pencils4Tea, where every pose is the length of a music track. There were a few frantic music tracks tonight, which aren’t very relaxing to sketch to, but at least it’s only a few minutes of ear-punishment … never been, and will I ever be, a fan of ACDC! The music track was put together by one of the other sketchers, and Kirsty is open to receiving new soundtracks, so may have to have a go at creating one full of songs I’d like to listen to!

I wasn’t quite in the flow of sketching tonight, and spent more time than usual on the pencil sketches, so didn’t get around to inking these portraits during the pose. I full intended to add ink and watercolour after the session ended, but I didn’t feel like it. So I’m going to post these half-started/half-finished portraits at the stage that I achieved during the zoom session.

There were some interesting perspectives and angles tonight, but none were too overwhelming to tackle.
