Live Speed Sketching with Dylan Sara
Each Tuesday, Dylan Sara hosts a speed sketching portrait session with time limits ranging from 30 seconds to 6 minutes. It’s a two-hour session with a short break in the midway point. Each week Dylan chooses a theme to inspire the poses, and the artists take it in turns to pose.
Tuesday August 12th 2025 Session
Here’s my sketches from this session, done in an A5 Hahnemuehle sketchbook. Prior the this session I’d been swatching the colour in my watercolour palette, so I decided to just use this vibrant collection of colour up on these portraits.
Dylan hosted this session during a trip to London, so there were a few of the artists who were keeping him company, so the last pose of the night was a joint pose.
