There is plenty to See and Do in Siem Reap. Whether you’re looking for the party scene of Pub Street, the haggling arena of the vibrant street markets, or enjoy a reflective stroll around the local temples or war museums, you won’t get bored.

A brief trip to the Baphuon Temple and Terrance of the Elephants completed our tour of Angkor Thom.

The Bayon stands in the exact centre of the city of Angkor Thom, and is extremely photogenic. It was one of my favorite temples to tour, not least because of the majestic faces everywhere you look.

This time of year on the Bodrum Peninsula is blissful. The tourists have all returned home and all we’re left with are the locals and expats. While some of the businesses have closed or have invoked winter opening hours, there’s still enough life left to keep us fed and entertained.

We visited Sheringham to explore the biggest live event in the North Norfolk Railway Calendar – their 1940s weekend where locals descend upon the railway station to take a ride on the steam train and smooze with other locals on the station platform who have joined them to step back in time to the days of the blitz, rationing, and utility clothing.
